    Data for Research Data Stewardship: A Scoping Review

    Research data stewardship is the long-term and sustainable care for research data across the research life cycle, including data management and sharing activities. The activities of research data stewardship play a crucial role in ensuring that research data are appropriately protected, available for reuse, and enable validation of published findings. However, conversations about research data stewardship are often siloed and based in specific contexts, disciplines, infrastructure, and data types. Much of the practical guidance available comes from business contexts and does not translate easily to the needs of academic research data. I will complete a scoping review to map, analyze, and synthesize the dispersed scholarly and grey literature on this topic. This analysis will be used to advance institutional conversations and inform institutional stewardship of research data activities.
